Grapes—>Wine—>Balsamic..Oh My!

Concord grapes!  These are such delicious and tart little treats!

Every single one of them taste like you are drinking a delicious glass of grape juice!  I would love to taste wine made of these!  Do any of you  know of a good wine made of concord grapes?  I would love to try it!

I had a delicious dinner to share with you tonight and I couldn’t find my camera anywhere!  I was disappointed that I couldn’t snap it up and show you all!  I remembered where my camera was when I remembered that I took this picture! I left it out on the front porch from yesterday after work!  I am so lucky that it’s one of those sheltered porches because it rained most of the day today!  Pheeeeeeeeeew!

For supper I butterflied an Eden Valley whole chicken (just like we did for our Eat Atlantic dinner with the Halibloggers a few weeks ago) and I seasoned it with salt, pepper and the Garlic Potato Topper seasoning from Epicure and BBQ’d it on top of tin foil.  Along side was a multi-grain roll and the most delicious tomato, basil, avocado & fresh mozzarella salad dressed with a splash of THE MOST DELICIOUS BALSAMIC VINEGAR EVER MADE:

IMG_5654 WORTH.EVERY.SINGLE.PENNY of the $24.99 I paid for it.  It was one of the items I had on my “must buy when I go to Maine” list and I had scoped out a Williams Sonoma during our trip to Maine.  It had a cork like a bottle of wine!  It is so flavourful and even sweet tasting!  This is going to be an absolute must any and every time I get myself to a Williams Sonoma!  IMG_5655

Lately I’m totally into wines, cheeses and breads! *slurp*

I bet the Balsamic Vinegar is so delicious. It reads on the lable you could add olive oil with it and us it as a bread dipper.
I was looking through my recipe books one day and this on paticular recipe stood out and it was balsamic vinegar mixed in with sliced strawberries and some sugar. MAN IT WAS TO DIE FOR. I loved it. You should give it a try.

My Dad grows Concord grapes and makes homemade wine. Which doesn't help you much I guess, just found it amusing.
