Larabar Love

Companies really know the way to a bloggers heart don't they? The arrival of this little package from Larabar made my day! As you all know I am a Larabar lover and once upon a time I would have scoffed at "spending" 4 POINTS on a bar (especially since it's not covered in chocolate ;-)), but having gotten over that neurosis (boy times have changed for this girl), I have adopted Larabars as a snack staple. There are many Larabar flavours and we don't tend to get all of them here in Halifax, but the only ones that I currently buy are the Coconut Cream Pie, Peanut Butter Cookie and Cashew Cookie.

HOW excited was I to get to sample these two new flavours before they hit the Canadian market???

I'm ALL OVER Peanut Butter & Jelly

As you can see the geniuses at Larabar use cherries here to sweeten up to make the "jelly" flavour. It's probably like a Peanut Butter Cookie meets Cherry Pie, but I don't think I've really tried the Cherry Pie flavour, so just a guess. (I know see on the website that that's EXACTLY what they've done lol Good call Ange!)

The reason I love Larabars so much is because they are allllll natural and there's sometimes only 2 ingredients in the bars: dates & nuts! PB&J has: dates, peanuts, unsweetened cherries and salt. THAT'S IT.

I can't wait to try Tropical Fruit Tart and I'll report back of course. I gotta say though, I'm a bit skeptical on that one. I LOVE coconut and all, but I've never been a "tropical punch" kind of fan really, but who knows, we will see.

P.S. This is my FIRST blog post from my Mac. It's like learning all over again and it's taking me 10 times as long to do an itty bitty post! lol I'm using "Blogo" and so far I'm only mediocrely impressed (is that a word?) / quite disappointed. Windows Live Writer would REMEMBER linky love so I didn't have re-enter the damn links every time and so far I've not found Mac blogging software that does everything Windows Live Writer does. Any tips or recommendations is always welcomed!

Oh, you should try Cherry Pie! Probably my favourite flavour; rich but with a tart kick.

I ate my PB&J today too! nom nom! I'll post later on. :)

Did you check to see if there was WLW available for Mac? Sometimes you can get the software.

OOH!!! Aren't you a lucky one!!!

So, as for Mac blogging software...I BELIEVE you can get a Windows "thingy" (technical term here) for your Mac so that you can run Windows programs...otherwise you are SOL on live writer.

HOWEVER, there are "Ecto" and "Mars Edit" for Mac that are DECENT. NOT GREAT, not FABULOUS, but definitely decent.

I LOVE my mac...that's why I am sad it is so sick (only not really, the "genius" on the phone told me it was probably a video card problem - after he told me to re-install the software AFTER I told him it wouldn't turn on...who's the genius now beeeyotch?) *ahem* anyway, once you get used to clicking off on the left, you will LOVE it!!! (it is a macbook, oui?? you can get neat colored covers for them!! and if it's an iMac, then rock on sister, cause that's what I have!)

Do you love my novel I just wrote???

Awww, I can't wait to try the PB & J Larabar (haven't found it yet), but I don't like cherry flavored things. Am I gonna hate it?

Jen: Hubby installed the parallel for me so I'll most likely be using that. I checked out Ecto and I can't remember why I didn't like it. I "think" it was an extra pic re-sizing step although I can't remember. I will check out Mars Edit (thanks!) But from what I have found so far "blogo" is supposed to be the "closest" to WLW as far as what it can do, but honestly, if it won't remember my links I won't use it for that reason because I like Linky Love and too redundant to keep having to go and enter them every time I type it! It's a MacBook Pro (hubby got it through his business). This thing can tune your friggin guitar!!! I don't have a guitar, but how cool is that?! lol

Paula: I'm not a cherry fan either, but you can't tell it's cherry, just hits of sweetness enough to pretend to be jelly :)

Anna: no cherries in the coconut cream pie. It's fabulous!

Jealous. Went to restock my LaraBar stash last weekend only to discover that my little Superstore doesn't have them on the shelf anymore. Going to have to run out to one of the bigger stores and hope they still have them. :(

I'm normally much more interested in chocolate, PB, and nuts, but I have to agree with Maria that the Cherry Pie Lara Bar is one of their best.

PB&J has me written all over it, though!

Using a guitar software is actually less expensive than using a music teacher. With guitar software, you can learn anywhere you have access to a computer and you don't need internet access. You work on your time, on your schedule, and in the comfort of your home if you choose. I actually learned how to play the guitar using a guitar software. The great thing about the system I used is that it provided video lesson materials, so it's like you have your own personal teacher.
