TO – 6 days

Breakfast

Another Green Monster.   I actually super like this combo!  Today’s combo is the same as yesterday:IMG_2639_thumb

I sipped it all the way to work (and I super love this convenience factor btw) and it held me over and I felt great up until about 10:45 and I decided to give into a pre-lunch snack.

…and my cuppa joe too:

My favourite Larabar – coconut cream pie!  Thanks Marisa, thanks alot!  She posted about them and all of a sudden I’m digging into my emergency stash!

Lunch

Same as yesterday – zucchini lasagna:IMG_2644_thumbIMG_2642_thumb

More purdy flowers at work:

Then I was on a mission and I had to head downtown to another IMG_2655Starbucks in search of one last missing secret item for our Blog GTG in Toronto next week:

While I was there I enjoyed a Venti refresh tea with two pumps of peppermint syrup.  This puppy is a fantastic treat!  Ask them to double up on the tea bags and you’re golden:

Snack

Late in the afternoon I had enjoyed a yogurt combo:

  • IMG_2636_thumbLiberte organic plain svelte
  • 1 tbsp of organic pomegranate syrup *yes you read that right organic syrup!  I bought it at the Just Us Roastery when we went on our hike in April and it is just the thing to sweeten up pain yogurt
  • fresh strawberries
  • 1 tbsp Artisana – Amazon Bliss

Second Snack

IMG_2658_thumbI am always snacky when I get home from work no matter what so I had just a few Guiltless Gourmet blue corn tortilla chips:

Why are they blue?  What’s the deal there, anybody?

Supper

Again, a repeat of yesterday with leftovers of the shrimp & scallop rotini only I added a little bit of havarti cheese that was left in the fridge.  It was even better today:IMG_2660_thumbIMG_2661_thumb

I figured the least I could do was put it in a difference dish!

And that’s a wrap for today’s eats!

One more week to Toronto bloggies! :-)

Blue corn tortilla chips are made from blue corn- it is actually blue. It is one of the strains grown originally in Mexico, and now several areas in the southwest. It was considered a sacred grain to either the Aztecs or the Incas. Did you know that there are something like 125 different varieties of corn ?

I'm a lurker but have been reading your blog for quite some time now! Your home cooked meals always look fantastic! Had to post when I saw the lilacs.. I LOVE them and miss the smell of them in the air (originally from Massachusetts). No lilac trees here in NC :(
