Breakfast
I made my Green Monster this morning and had it all in my travel mug and then hubby looks at me all suspiciously-like and asks to “see it.” He’s seen them all week long. This time I offered him 100 bucks to taste it and his stubborn self wouldn’t (of course). What a wuss! He said it looked like “Ninja turtle slime” and swears I’m going to turn into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle :-D
So I get in the car with my gear for the day (lunch bag, purse (with netbook), travel mug – I swear I lug around waaaay too much with me every day) and as soon as I start to pull out of the driveway I see Mr. Bunny munching on some leaves:
I love spotting wild animals and so far this year in my yard there has been: a bunny, fox, a porcupine, and a groundhog:
and sometime throughout the year there’s always a deer or a family of deer there too!
So this morning was a “stop and smell the roses” kind of day and I was feeling to energized and happy on my way to work. Could it be the affects of the GM? Hmmmm??? So I stopped and snapped a pic of some pretty pansies outside of the office before I went in:
The GM held me over longer this morning than ever. I went straight through to lunch time without a snack! Yay!
Lunch
- Ezekiel tortilla
- chicken breast
- red, green, orange pepper
- mixed mesclin greens
- homemade lemon cannellini bean purée
and it was great! The bean puree was just beans, lots of lemon juice, zest, S&P and the lemon really was excellent! (post to come on my little gadget that every person should have and it doesn’t take up room in your kitchen!)
Then came a treat:
a chocolate espresso bomb from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. YUM!!
Then I walked by this god awful machine outside of GNC that yells at you, “Have you checked your weight today?”
Am I the only one that wants to smash this thing at the mall??? I doubt it! Didn’t make me feel so great about my espresso bomb! Bah well!
Snack
After work I had to make a quick Snack because I had to run to the hairdresser, so I grabbed a Larabar Jocalat bar to-go and took Lucy outside to do her “business” before I ran to the hairdresser for some foils and a trim. Isn’t she friggin CUTE:
Supper
And when I got back from the hairdresser I decided to grab a quick supper and since my breakfasts have been taken over by GM’s lately, I was kind of missing my “breakfast foods” so I poured myself a bowl of Kashi Honey Almond Crunch cereal, topped with a banana and some unsweetened vanilla almond breeze and I was good to go:

LOL @ Ninja Turtle Slime! That would have been the easiest $100 hubby had ever made :P
Geeze for a hundred bucks even my picky man would have tried it. I'd have made him drink the whole thing though. Then he could go around all day acting like a TMNT and have an excuse for it!!
I took an almost identical shot of the same Jocolat bar today...minus the cute Lucy of course.
Lucy is adorable! looks so sweet, innocent and quiet there....
TMNT - lol...don't they have super powers? what will yours be?!?!
I love Lucy in the back ground of your snack shot! Great eating day, Angie!
Looking good, Angie! You're back in action ;)
*laughs* I would have slammed that thing back for $100!!!!
I hate THOSE machines in the mall!!!!!
I was thinking about trying to make a Green Monster tomorrow morning, and now after the Ninja Turtle Slime moniker I just don't know if I can.
Julie: still try it, it actually TASTES really really good and every single morning I've felt FANTASTIC! I still seem to have an aversion to the colour, so it's travel mugs and straws pour moi!
