Okay here I am back to the food blogging and I missed it because it’s fun and worth the time consumption! It’s kind of like a hobby. Plus I now have my handy dandy little HP Mini to join me during my lunch hours :-D
So I went for another Green Monster this morning for Breakfast only I decided to jazz it up a little more from Friday. This morning’s GM consisted of:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1c almond milk (unsweetened vanilla almond breeze – i would have used chocolate but it wasn’t cold in the fridge)
- 1 scoop ultimate protein – chocolate
- 2 tbsp PB2
- 1 tbsp ground organic Salba
- 1 tsp instant espresso powder (the kicker)
- 3c organic baby spinach
The addition of these ingredients have it a little “something” extra from Friday and I liked it. Next time doing the chocolate/PB/coffee combo, I’ll use unsweetened chocolate almond breeze over the vanilla
And even though I added espresso to the GM, I still couldn’t pass up my morning joe because I enjoy sipping on it while I’m getting ready in the morning. Needless to say I was quite perked up on the car ride to work and the snail pace rush hour traffic which was unusually slow today didn’t phase me and neither did the jerkface driving the caddie who wouldn’t participate in the “1 for 1” traffic merge onto the bi-high and who got all pissy at me for wanting in during my “turn” didn’t phaze me either! Oh the power of the supe’d up GM’! :-)
And here I am now blogging on the pack patio at work and it’s Lunch time! Today’s Lunch was an Ezekiel Sprouted Grain wrap with some sliced chicken breast, some herb salad mix and some Kraft three cheese ranch dressing:
It was delicious. There are pros and cons with the sprouted grain tortilla:
Pro: all that goes along with the sprouted grain (not made with processed flour….)
Con: for fear of breaking the tortilla, I only fold them over so it’s more a “fold” than a “wrap”
Pro: it’s chewier than a regular wrap and I get more satisfaction power out of it
Con: the point of a wrap is so you don’t have to worry about all the yummy stuff inside falling out, so when you’re lacking the integrity of a “wrap” much care is needed in not making a mess of yourself!
I finished it off with a piece of Cracker Barrell light medium cheese and some blackberries:
And I’m on my second one of these for the day which is great!
And now I’m semi-disappointed with this blogging on the back patio business on a nice sunny day because half the time I can’t see where my friggin cursor is and I’m having a hard time adjusting the pics! Oh it’s a tough life aint it? ;-P
And that’s a “wrap” for lunch! See you all later on for Supper!

Yay food pics!
Yay!! Missed your yummy eats!
Love Kraft Light Three Cheese Ranch! I never met a bottled dressing that I liked until this guy! Although, I tend to use it more as a condiment than a dressing, too:)
I LOVE MY MINI! I have an Acer, not an HP, but I still don't know how I ever went without one!
Mmmm....food!
I am selfishly enjoying the return of the food pics because you always give me good ideas of things to eat.
And the Green Monster really doesn't taste like spinach?
Jen: lol Oh I'm COUNTING don't you worry!!!
Marisa: hubby likes it to dip chicken fingers in :-)
Julie: if you use PB in it, it totally steals the show and the only think spinachy about it is the colour, I promise!
