Saturday Supper
The BBQ was great and Sarah made a delicious meal! While the veggies were roasting in the oven, she introduced me to these tasty little hidden gems:
I’m a little more in the natural and organic kinds of food these days, but I think these puppies are going to be on the next grocery list…they are 100% whole grain and a pretty good calorie bang for your buck too. They are delicious on their own and I can only imagine how yummy they would be scooping into some salsa!
She BBQ’d some delicious marinated steak and chicken and roasted up some root veggies (potato, turnip & parsnip) and also some carrots, green beans and snap peas with some EVOO and spices, put out some multigrain baguette and OMG let me tell you it was perfect:
I had some chicken and steak as well as an extra helping of the veggies (couldn’t help myself):
Dessert
Then it was dessert and tea! And I had forgotten that there was dessert and had an extra bit of steak and would have re-thought that move had I remembered, but that didn’t stop me from having dessert now did it? Hmmmm
Then I stopped into Planet Organic where I got a tip from Farm Girl that they had a full stock of Coconut Cream Pie and Peanut Butter Cookie Larabars (the BEST ones that can’t be found anywhere else around here to my knowledge), so of course I had to get in there and get in on the stash before they were all gone! The cashier joked with me about how I had to stock up before they were all gone (I bought like 10!)! I was saying how they are the best ones and gone so fast and she said that the staff are the first ones to get wind of when they get all the new stuff, so they sell out quite quickly. I think I’m going to have to get a part-time job at PO to support my expensive organic and natural food “habit” because holy it’s costing a fortune and I assume there’s some sort of employee discount :-D.
While there I found another exciting product find that I have been seeing on the American blogs that I was looking for here and now they’ve got at PO! I hate to leave yas in suspense (because I know you’re at the edge of your seat :-P), but I’ll do a product review when I get the chance to try it/them :-D
Then I hit up the mall and got a few little things I needed for my trip to Toronto for our Blog GTG (which is now only a few SHORT days away!!!) and then I came home to Lucy barking her face off because Mr. Bunny had decided to visit our front yard again for a snack:
I love you Mr. Bunny because who doesn’t love bunnies? but you’re getting Lucy all wound up because she’s a rabbit dog innately and, well, as cute as you are, and for the sake of my ears, please chew on some grass over to the side of the house, maybe? Somewhere where she can’t see you and shake in convulsions??

Your dinner (and dessert) look amazing! I still have to check out those Larabar flavors...they sound great and I've heard they were good from multiple sources.
Have you tried the Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil Triscuits? Mmmm...and I don't even normally like Triscuits!
LOL at Lucy and the bunny!
Dinner looks so good!
Can you believe I have never tried a coconut cream pie larabar - i am on the hunt for one, but they are never in stock anywhere!!!
Cute bunny!
The BBQ food looks fab!
Can't wait to hear your product review :)
Just FYI, I've tried the Thin Crips Triscuits + Salsa. It equals love. *drool*
