Well here it is Monday and we're nearing the straight stretch to race day and the upcoming long weekend. I'm pretty darn sore from my "super duper" run on Friday (read: my longest ever run of just short of 10 kms :-D) and another 7km run on Saturday. Saturday's run was hilly. My quads are super sore and I'm feeling some hip and foot pain. BOOOOO!
I rested yesterday and only went for a 30 minute walk with the Lu-ster. I'm not going to push it too much this week because I want to feel like I can give it a good run on race day. It may not seem like much to many of your rockstar runners, but it's all relative.
I'm feeling great about the upcoming week. I've got some great meals planned out and a few recipe reviews to come too. It's been a while since I've had my mojo to try new recipes, but I'm back at it and my fridge is STOCKED with lots of fresh produce and the works.
Let me just say that there's a zucchini lasagne recipe I can't wait to share with you that will forever replace the need for noodles! I swear!

Sorry about the soreness but wanted to wish you good luck and safe race this upcoming race!!
I wish I could be there to see you destroy last year's time!
Have an awesome race and just enjoy the experience. I get really focusing on having a good finishing time that I end of not enjoying the actual race. This should be your rest time as well so don't worry about taking it easy right now.
Looking forward to that recipe.
Good luck in the race!!!!
