Goings Ons

  1. Chandler (our kitty) is a bit of a badass. He won't drink out of a bowl and has always insisted that you drizzle the tap for him to drink from - that's just how he rolls. So if you forget to leave his drizzling tap before you go to bed, he has developed a technique to wake you up if you don't respond to him walking on your face and licking your lips. If you have a glass of anything on your nightstand he will first try to drink out of it hoping you'll wake up in disgust. If to no avail, he'll proceed to paw at it until it falls over onto the floor. THAT will get ya up for sure! And if you don't have any drinks on your nightstand, he'll proceed with said technique with jars of body butter or what have you...I was smart enough not to have anything on MY nightstand last night :-D Hubby = funny joke to Chandler...

  2. Got our new carpet laid down yesterday and looks great. MIL was good enough to come over to our place while we were at work to mind the house and Lucy (our pup) while the installers did their job. You all may know about our Lucy and her "issues." Well as cute as she is, she barked for 4 straight hours at the carpet install guys....that's my girl...one way to get the job done as quickly as possible!

  3. Meeting with the bank went well and the house will be in order and listed this weekend!

  4. Anybody wanna buy a house? :-D

  5. I'm now feeling a little unsure I'll get my PB2 video together in time for the deadline. I should have just did it when I first got the email! We shall see, but no promises!

I just have to say that I love the names of your pets. LOL I have a Lucy (cat) & Chandler was on my list for names of our dog...who ended up being a Floyd. hehe Yay for listing the house soon! That's so exciting!

Exciting about the house! Do want to stay there now that there's new carpet?

fyi - a slow dripping (1 drip every 5 seconds?) tap wastes around 350 litres of water a month. Al Gore says 22,000 gallons a year. Either way it's a lot. Just sayin'.

My cat Mischief is the same way! Now the sink faucet isn't good enough anymore, and he insists on the tub faucet more often these days.

Randi, cats don't care about the environment, unfortunately, and can be very demanding about getting what they want. We don't leave ours running because of the environmental issue (and the cost--yikes!), unless we forget, but he'll howl all night for it if he wants it. So I can sympathize with why she leaves it running.

haha TWO all it took was TWO to get a comment about the dripping tap! lol I knew someone would say! Hey I'm as environmentally friendly as the next guy, but I'm tellin' ya, that's the only way he'll drink! And it's not dripping all day all the time. Most of the time he'll grab my attention when I'm walking near the bathroom and make me follow him to go in for a drink. He's one unique kitty, i'll tell ya.

Lainey: they are persistent little buggers aren't they!

No, the carpet is nice and soft and coushy on the feet, I'm ready to leave the house, but I loved living there for the last 4 years. It's time to upgrade and build a family :-) Better now then later

I know the cat thing ... mine won't drink out of a dish ... they have to drink out of cups. At first they'd just knock them over. We made a little cup holder though that they can't knock over ... it's funny watching them take turns.

Well that was very kind of your MIL ;) I'm glad that everything is going well with the listing/bank etc. Spring is almost here, lots of people will be looking that's for sure!

My cat licks the sides of the bathtub for her water intake and she has been caught drinking out of the toliet (ewwww!).

Busy times for you! Hope you are finding time to breathe!

Good Luck in selling... I'm sure you'll have no problem. Nice home and nice area with lots of potential.
Carpet is becoming a thing of the past now a days. But it will probably sell faster. Lots of work to sell a house but the end results will pay off.
Remember to take *YOUR* time.

Have you tried a pet fountain for your cat? We have one - it circulates water around and runs it through a filter. The water comes down out of the filter in a constant stream, so there is always 'running water'. My cats are quite happy with it. And I have spoiled cats. :)

what a naughty little kitty. my kitty is the same - except he wants to try everything we drink regardless of whether or not he has water in his bowl. he'll stick his paw in every glass from OJ to wine and then lick his paw to see if he likes.
