Hi, ‘member me??! :-D

Well here I am back in action and back on track :-)  This morning for Breakfast I had a slice of Ezekiel toast with a smear of Becel RSF some baby spinach leaves, a few thin slices of tomato and a fried egg on top.  I brought out the ol’ santa mug to start of the week right with my cup of coffee with scotsburn blend cream and some starbucks sugar free syrup for a total of 208 calories:

Over the weekend I made a Split Pea with Ham soup and I have to say I am a HUGE fan of dried peas and lentil soups.  They never look like much, but they are always soooo filling and nutritious.  So I had a serving for Lunch and  I’ve estimated each serving of this recipe to be about 329 calories.  I also ran downtown during my lunch hour to get my new Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor (yayyyy!) and of course have to take the opportunity to hit up starbucks whenever I’m there since we don’t have one on every corner here in Halifax, so I grabbed a grande americano with a few sugar free shots of cinnamon dolce and some half and half for about 55 calories:

I had to run to the grocery store after work to pick up some produce etc. so late in the afternoon for a Snack I had a coconut cream pie larabar for 200 calories:

It was a toss up for Supper this evening.  I was late getting home and had to take Lucy out and all of that since hubby’s going to be working late all of this week, so I opted for a quick and delicious favourite of mine of a grilled bella burger on a whole wheat bun with all the delicious “garnishes” I love: baby spinach, red onion, tomato, roasted red pepper and kiri goat cheese spread.

On the side I had a sautee of:

  • sliced portobello mushroom
  • red, orange, yellow, green peppers
  • zucchini
  • red onion
  • green onion
  • turnip/mustard greens (oh yeah, you read that right)
  • garlic paste
  • S&P
  • feta stuffed jalepeno on top

All together supper was a very filling and satisfying 471 calories:

To finish of with “something sweet” I reached for a small bowl of green seedless grapes for 83 calories (jeez that’s kind of high!):

And my calorie total intake for the day was 1263

I have spent most of the evening trying to figure out my new heart rate monitor and never actually got to put it to use! lol  I’m excited about this model though because it will upload my data to the computer wirelessly through the soundcard/speaker on the computer!  Nice!  So I’ll be able to post reports on my calorie burn etc. once I get the hang of it!

Yay, you're back!!! :D

In honor of your on-trackness I am going to go do the 30 DS. I dedicate this sweat session to you ;)

(That's kinda gross, but I'm doin' it anyway.)

Glad to see you!!!
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the HRM! I have an old verson FS1 that my Dad gave me, but it doesn't tell you the cals. burned - you have to figure it out yourself (too much trouble!)

Great eats today!

Congrats on getting the HR monitor. I absolutely LOVE mine! I love seeing how many calories I burn during a run. It helps to get it set up with the correct weight and age. I found that I burned many more calories than in the default settings.

I've always wanted to try Ezekiel bread. I just found a store that's close to me (through the link you put on you post). So now, I just have to stop by there and pick up a loaf. And I've NEVER heard of a Larabar before. Looks interesting!

ohh! Enjoy the Polar, yay for new toys :) I have the F4 and its fantastic. I particularly like how it tells me to exercise if I haven't worn it for a few days.

That's the exact same HRM I have!!! Did you get the pink??? TELL ME you got the pink!!!!

I always find grapes to be a bit high in calories as well but, yeah, they are worth it, right???

Don't you find your stuffed peppers get wrinkly within the week?? Or do you pour out the oil?

Awesome breakfast, sounds very good. Great job keeping track of all of your calories, I struggle with that myself and figuring out how many calories are in what I eat.
I like the pictures, nice touch.

Looove your new Heart Rate Monitor! I'm in the market for one myself, but I am looking for a bargain! haha!

Yeah, since discovering how high grapes are in calories, I don't eat them much anymore.

That burger looks delicious!

I too am striking against grapes. I mindlessly ate through an entire packet at work one day, only to discover I'd eaten my way through 300 calories. 300 calories!! In grapes!!!

yay HRM! Make sure you post all the nittygitties. Like you kept your HR above *** for the whole workout, and peaked at *** but it didn't really feel that hard etc etc etc. I love that junk!

Woooo! Being on track rocks!
All of your meals looked absolutely fantastic and I can't believe how little calories they were in total.

You go girlie!

It sounds like you are doing so great! Your "burgers" always look so yummy. One day I might just have to give that a try. (I have some fear about mushrooms. *blushes*)

Have fun with your new HR monitor! I hate trying to figure out new electronic do-dads, but it is so nice to have them. *grins*
