“A-Team” Rocks!

Just had to say that ;-) That’s not our official team name yet, but it’s fun still! If anyone has any fun names we could have for our team, we’re open for ideas!

Today’s Breakfast was one of the best bowls of oats I’ve had in a looong time. It was soooo delicious! I think its deliciousness can be attributed to the toasted unsweetened coconut flakes I sprinkled on top with the walnuts. YUM-O! Today’s mix was:

  • 1/3c oats
  • 1/2c unsweetened vanilla almond breeze
  • 1/2c water
  • 1/2 medium banana chunked and cooked in with the above
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp flax meal
  • splash of vanilla
  • splash of sugar free cinnamon dolce starbucks syrup
  • dashes of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp chocolate PB2, constituted with water to be a bit runny to drizzle all over the top
  • 8g toasted walnuts sprinkled on top
  • 6g toasted unsweetened coconut chips sprinkled on top

I enjoyed it IMMENSELY! I think I’ll have another repeat tomorrow. Before this I sipped on some coffee with blend cream and sugar free syrup (sorry no pic) while I blogged and played on the new BLBE Message Board and by the time I pulled myself away to eat, it was close to noon time, so it was more like brunch. Then hubby and I were off to spend the day together, running errands and whatnot. I always have an “emergency Larabar” on hand for such times :-D I had this “Cocoa Mole” flavour for an afternoon Snack and it kept me going until supper:

I will say that I don’t feel like I drank nearly enough water today though.

We were out and about at Dartmouth Crossing running our errands and it soon became supper time, so we decided to go out for Supper and we went to Boston Pizza. The appetizer wasn’t the healthiest choice on the menu, but I only had about 3 pieces of the garlic toast:BP-garlic toast

And for my main course, I had the entree spinach salad. I added a cajun chicken breast to it too. It was HUGE and it was loaded with lots of cheese, bacon bits and egg and a piece of garlic toast:

So it didn’t end up being the “best” choice either, but I only ate half of it and took the rest home if it’s any good to eat tomorrow for lunch maybe:

And that was it for today’s eats. I figure that any extra sneaky calories in my spinach salad were cancelled out by the fact that I technically “missed” a meal today not having had breakfast until noon. I love the weekends :-)

Guess what else is exciting???! We were at Canadian Tire and of course there are all kinds of exercise machines on sale there and I think that Hubby and I are going to actually buy an elliptical machine :-D This one is pretty damn huge, but we recently rearranged our rec room down stairs recently and there is a pretty ideal spot for it now. I nearly dropped to the floor when hubby’s face actually lit up a little with the idea of having one at home. That way there’s absolutely NO excuses for not getting in exercise if you’re well enough to do it!

Gone to watch Indiana Jones with Hubby now. ’night Bloggies!

My parents have one in their house and before I moved out it was so convenient to have one in the house, somedays you only have a little time to work out and going to the gym can take up most of that time. That's so exciting that you might be getting one!

Hey Angie...I had a question about your Starbucks syrup for your coffee. What is it sweetened with and how many points does it cost in your coffee? I have to have my coffee sweet but I'm not into aspartame. Please help!

Jen: You are observant! Yes he did get the buffalo chicken sandwich and it's his favourite thing on the menu! lol Thanks for the compliment on my purse ;-) I'm on the hunt for a new similar "every day" purpse now.

Angie's Angels appears to be a popular team name so far!

I think it's settled, we're getting the elliptical! Yayyyy!

Bee: Starbucks sugarfree syrup is made with splenda. It is FREE. That's right FREE in your coffee - go, run, buy some, it will change your life as you know it! ;-)

I hate that salads can be so sneakily high in calories and fat - I love a restaurant salad though - so yummy and always so much tastier than homemade.

Yay for getting an eliptical. I have a treadmill (in need of servicing right now) and although I am not always consistent in using it, when I do I am so glad for the convenience of it!

How about Team BumHurtALot? You know, because Team Lynn is gonna kick your ass! ;-)

Have fun elliptical shopping! I can't wait to have room for a mini home gym. Right now my exercise bike barely fits in the apartment :P
