I think we all re-visit this notion every year, don't we? Many of us, including myself, kind of roll our eyes at the idea of a "new year's resolution" because the motivation behind them is fueled by Christmas holiday overeating, guilt and desperate "i'll make up for it" mentality, in my opinion. As much as I do feel this is the case with "new year's resolutions" I still believe there's nothing wrong with setting personal goals and that it's as good a time as any to do some thinking about your plans and goals for the year ahead.
So, while I don't feel like I need to list them out right now because it's the "first of the new year," I'll be doing some serious thinking about them and posting some of my thoughts when I feel like I've got something set in my mind. I was never a "January 1st" kind of girl, usually my "resolve" would kick in around the end of January-ish. I am always afraid of false starts and if I'm serious about acheiving a goal, I want to give it the thought it deserves. It's not that I'm not on track with my mindset, I think it's more of a "respect" for the year ahead and the goals to come :-)

I'm with you on that. Any major goals definitely need thought put into them.
and who needs stinkin 1.1. anyway? :)
wait until 2.1.09
be the rebel you are.
have a great weekend, Angie!
Too True on this one. I don't like to make resolutions either, so I don't.
But I am going to be a lot more mindful of what I'm doing and where I want to go.
:)
1.1 brings too much pressure. You can make a resolution (or goal) any day of the year.
Haha, it's totally an individual thing. I find if I make a resolution like "lose weight" there's just no way it's going to happen. If I set goals like "try rock climbing" or "do 10,000 minutes of exercise" then I'm more likely to do them.
In 2007 I reached most of my goals. In 2008 I forgot what they were. Depends on the year I guess ;)
Ditto!!!
