I am in pain :-( Some of the pain is a “good” pain and some of it is not :-( Some of it is the sore muscle pain telling me that I worked out and pushed myself which is a good thing, but I think I may have aggravated some of my lower back and shoulder injury soreness right at the top of the arm in the deltoid where it attaches at the top of the arm. That pain isn’t the good kind. Everywhere else is just the pain of a vigorous full body workout. I continue to be astonished at how well yoga works your entire body. It is so much harder than it looks! Yoga aint for chumps!
I’ve been on Advil all day and plan on spending the rest of the night with my heating pad watching TV. BAM! It’s so frustrating because right when I start to think that I feel “normal” again, like maybe I’m moving past my MVA injuries and that I’m not that different from everyone else trying to get into shape, I’m reminded that maybe I do need to be more careful in how hard I push sometimes. I really am just a beginner with fitness and it’s such a hard balance to find my line of where to push and when to stop.
Oh and it sucked that I weighed-in this morning with a 0.8 lb gain too. Poooey! My muscles did feel considerably more hard and stiff this morning though. Movin’ on and moving forward. Better results next WI!
For Breakfast I had the same mix of oatmeal as yesterday and loved every bite:
I did feel a little hungry around 11 and didn’t want to wait for lunch so I had a Snack of some whole grain crackers and a 60 cal Cracker Barrell cheese portion cut up into little squares:
Lunch was scrumptous :-) I made a turkey sammie with some leftover turkey I brought home from MIL’s house with two small slices of whole grain artisan loaf, with a smear of cranberry and pomegranate brie topping, tomato and arugula:
And what was even better was a mini Strawberry Liberte No Fat Probiotic Svelte Yogurt topped with some PB2, strawberries, 1/2 kiwi, blackberries, blueberries and of course, pomegranate seeds:
I think my metabolism must have been revved up from having exercised pretty well for the last three days in a row, because I was hungry again for a Snack this afternoon, and I had a cup of Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane tea with 2 gingersnap cookies:
I got home from work and I had a tiny snack of these Cheez Puff Bakes (I really have to get better at this part of the day. It seems like I always want to dig into a snack before supper!):
I then realized that I still had a serving of Saturday night’s shrimp ricotta penne leftover, so I heated that up with a sprinkle of fresh parm on top. This was mostly veggies and shrimp and less of the penne:
It was super spicy from the feta stuffed jalepeno and I decided on having a tofutti chocolate mint “ice cream” bar for dessert to “cool down my mouth:”
I was perfectly full after all of this, but I ended up feeling “snacky.” You know the feeling girls, don’t ya? Part of it’s in your head but part of it’s not? I could have done a lot worse, but I satisfied it with finishing off the last bit of the Fox Hill Vanilla yogurt with pom seeds over top = soooo gooood:
And that was my day food-wise. It was a little on the high end, so I’m going to lower it down a bit tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll be feeling better to at least get an elliptical workout in tomorrow.
I’m off to get snuggled up to my heating pad and to watch House! Ta ta for now!

Awww Angie, big cyber hugs coming your way. Hope the pain subsides soon. I totally understand what you are saying about trying so hard and your body pushing back like that. Baby steps ......
On the gain ... grrrrr think there is a A Team curse this week :) But it's okay .. we will bounce back!!
Awww, hope your pain goes away... ickkk

Sorry you are sore :(, that is not fun at all.
I agree your food always looks so delish! Here's to a better WI next week :)
I know what you mean about the pain of old wounds - I find that often when I have a plan to get in shape/lose weight I am defeated by my own body and previous injuries.
Maybe the key is to listen to yourself when your body is sore and allow yourself time to heal.
I am totally into a personal challenge to see who gets to 165 first - the scale just keeps going up for me, so it is bound to be you - I might get to 175 while you get to 165 (=
I love House too!
Do I know the pain of yog or what?? I LOVE that feeling and the feeling of being so long and stretched out!
you are an exercise rock star my dear!
Ouch! I know that feeling! Hope you'll be kicking ass in no time! :)
it so isnt huh? my husband is a sometimes mocker until he joined in this weekend and is still sore...
When I was going to yoga classes twice a week I stopped doing weights. I always found I was sore the day after yoga so it seemed that my muscles were getting enough of a workout - and during that time I could see my arms and legs changing shape with the muscle definition I was getting...Ah how I miss those classes...
Take it easy til you feel better!
Awww, hope your pain goes away soon!
No worries about the gain, I had one on Thursday too! It actually made me happy to see it because it means that the strength I've added back into my workouts is doing something! :D
I always wonder about those people who think that yoga is relaxing :P
I'm sorry that it's hurting you, though :(
I lvoe but Love the Candy Cane Lane tea! Have you tried the Sugar Plum Fairy (or some variation of that name by Celestial) too?
A .08 up this week means at least a -2 next week!
I am trying to find out about an herbal tea that had peppermint AND chocolate flavour to it-yum huh?
I read about it on some blog and can't remember what tea it was...
Anyone out there know the name of it?
Many thanks!
Hope the pain goes away soon!
