My body has been crying all day today from hot yoga yesterday. My body feels like I’ve worked it for hours! Oh how I missed that feeling! :-) Even though it sucks, it’s a nice reminder that you’re doing a good job at working your muscles!
We got hit with another storm yesterday and overnight and it made for some pretty rotten road conditions this morning. Conditions were improving as the morning went on, so I got a pass from my work to come in late after the roads improved some more. I was up periodically throughout the night with Lucy because she was getting sick for some reason :-( She is alright now, but the poor little girl couldn’t keep anything down all night. She’s as good as new today though :-)
I was really really tired this morning and even though I was going in later for work, I still was up at 6:30 and I felt every muscle in my body and fatigue like I was hit by a Mack truck! I got up and got in the shower and was looking forward to a nice warm hearty bowl of oatmeal to start the day of on the right foot. I made my usual bowl of late, and added some fresh raspberries on top and of course, it rocked :-):
I had a morning Snack at home before I went in for work and I had some sliced strawberries with some Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze and some whole grain wheat thins with a 60 calorie cracker-barrel cheese portion sandwiched in the crackers. I also tried this Robinsons lemon concentrate that Farm Girl pointed out to me while we were at Pete’s Frootique the other day. I thought a splash here and there might livin’ up my water intake, so I gave it a try. I’m not a huge fan of it, but I bet it would be good added to sparkling water, so I’ll have to pick some of that up to give it at try. It does contain aspartame, so I’ll be using it sparingly:
OH and look what I found at the grocery store! Finally, individual sized Liberte No Fat Probiotic yogurts for lunches! It wasn’t cheap though :-( I think it was at least $5 for 6 servings. The servings are a bit bigger than most of the other individual sized yogurts, but still, a serving’s a serving really. What counts is how many meals you’ll get out of them. But it did come with a coupon on the inside for the next pack at least:
And so for Lunch today, I had some of the leftover Bob’s Red Mill Vegi soup (so good) and I had to have one of those yogurts of course:
And I had about a cup of blueberries and blackberries to go with it:
When I got home from work I was hungry! I finished off the rest of the bag of these which was about two handfuls or so:
And it was a leftover night tonight for Supper. I had the leftover chicken from last night and the leftover veggies, but I made this box of whole wheat couscous with parmesan to go with it:
And even though I was full, I felt the need to dig into the cookie jar when I keep those little mini toblerone bars and I had two of those which I didn’t get a picture of.
And for the rest of the night I’ve spent doing hubby’s accounting to get his books in order for year end and HST remittance (oh joy) and now it’s time to get ready for bed!
I swear I am getting more sore by the minute. My hip flexors, triceps, and lower back are the worst. Farm Girl was saying earlier tonight that it’s the 2nd day that can be the worst and not I’m starting to feel it!
Seriously, have you ever heard anyone whine as much as me about yoga?! lol

Bikram yoga or “Hot” yoga as it is usually know as, is performed in a room where the temperature is maintained at 105degrees Farenheit/ 37 degree celsius.
Wow, hot yoga sounds scary :0
Love your dinner - looks fab!
You are doing such a great job eating healthy foods -yay, you!!!
I love hot yoga. What a butt-kicker!
I'm going to look out for the yogurt. I buy the tubs but I'm slightly tupperware-lazy.
That is awesome in a crappy way I guess! That soups looks so so yummy!
I love the post-workout soreness! Except for when I have to walk up stairs and my legs hurt. That sucks.
I found some great blackberries at Costco yesterday. Can't wait to eat them with lunch!
I need to find a place near me for hot yoga, I hear so many great things about it.
That yogurt looks like perfection to me! I have been having such a hard time finding organic non fat yogurt. I eat organic which is often a struggle for little things like this!
