Cock-a-doodle-doooo!

And it was Monday before I new it!  I got up and didn’t feel ready to get up, but that’s how Monday’s go!  I didn’t feel as frantic this morning as I did last Monday morning I can tell ya that.  I remember running around like a mad woman last Monday and it was “just one of those days.”  This morning I had my oatmeal-a-brewin’ while I was blow dryin’ my hair and getting dressed and it was all ready for me to dazzle it with yummy toppings by the time I was all dressed and ready for Breakfast.  I’ve been rolling with the delicious combo I had the last two mornings and had it again today, with of course my morning up of joe:

B-IMG_0643So far oatmeal has been the only breakfast that is able to sustain me all the way until lunchtime.  It’s not only the oatmeal, but the extra added protein and healthy fats from the chocolate PB2, toasted walnuts, flax meal and toasted coconut chips I’m sure.

So for Lunch today I had leftovers from last night and let me tell ya, it was just as good as last night.  YUM-O!  It was some rice (yes white, but not much), rainbow trout and a saute of peppers, onions, swiss chard, bok choy, garlic, S&P, all with a squirt of fresh lemon juice and zest":

And as if that wasn’t enough, I had some Mocha Liberte No Fat Pro biotic Svelte yogurt topped with some more Chocolate PB2 (I’m addicted to the stuff), sprinkled with the last of my pom seeds and fresh raspberries.  This was heaven:

And lately I’ve been on the diet Orange Crush kick (made with Splenda).  There was ONCE that I bought a 24 pack of diet crust pops and they were ALL made with splenda (grape, orange, cream soda) but I’ve never been able to find any other diet flavour since :-( .  They taste pretty much like the real thing:

And just for a little treat I tried this little guy that was sent to me by an American friend.  I’m not sure if we have these flavours here, but I had another flavour at Scott’s cousin’s house a little while ago.  I must keep an eye out because they were a pretty good 1-POINT-er:

I always get the munchies right when I get home from work and before it’s time for Supper.  I munched away on some multigrain tostitos while I got supper in the oven and did my workout on the elliptical:

It felt great to get 30 mins done while watching my PVR’d episode of 90210.  I did some sweatin’ and it felt great :-)  I had cubed butternut squash, sweet potato and mini potatoes roasting in the oven the entire time with EVOO, fresh thyme, fresh rosemary, fresh savory & S&P.  When I was done, I cooked some chicken with the same herbs and while hubby didn’t have the same fabulous meal I did (he had a hotdog and a hamburger), I snagged a half of one of his hotdogs too:

And until these little Toblerone guys are gone, there’s no harm in a little sweet after dinner taste:

So that was my day food-wise.  It was a pretty substantial day I must say.  I have leftover supper for tomorrow, and I will try to make an effort to nix any high carb or starch with supper tomorrow night.  There has been some talk with the girls about meeting up for a Nubody’s class tomorrow after work, so if that’s the case, I’ll have to have a Larabar or something as an afternoon snack because Supper will be late.

The carpet measurer guy called this morning to come and measure for our new carpet for the basement, so instead of doing strength at the gym today as originally planned, I did the elliptical at home - see how awesome and convenient it is to have it at home???!  There’s no excuse for me not to get exercise in with stuff like that happens!

Yes, we have those 1 point bars here and they are SO GOOD! I can't buy them or I'll eat them all.

How many points is your oatmeal breakfast, if you don't mind me asking? I copy you A LOT with my foods these days. Rock on and enjoy your elliptical!!

SarahSundae: it totally depends on the toppings. This bowl is probably about 7 points. Totally and completely worth it :-)

The diet crush's come out for Halloween. That's the only time I see them. Probably worth stocking up hey?
(oh also, do you have Sobey's? or anywhere that sells Our Compliments pop? They have a diet kind called freedom that's made with splenda, they have tangerine which is pretty good)

I checked out the Website, I think I may order some....is the original good too?
How much water do you add to it? Can you use it on toast and such?

Thanks, Have a great night Angie!!

Yaya: Yup the regular PB2 is great too, I ordered a big case of it when they had their xmas special. It's wonderful on toast etc. too. You just add about 1 1/2 tbsp water to about 2 tbsp of the PB2, you can give or take on the water depending on the consistency that you want. I like the regular too, but I love the chocolate whenever it's something that chocolate AND PB go well with whatever it is. :-D
